< Random Snapshots > "Friendship Arch"

I really love the combination of colors used at the "Friendship Arch" in Washington D.C. This arch is the largest Chinese gateway in the world to what may be the smallest Chinatown in the US. So take a look at the amazing detail, cause you'll always find something new!

Four Months worth of Dog Pictures!

I know that only a few people will understand this post... and most of them are members of my family, specially my cousins.
I wanted to share with you my "NYC Dog" Picture Collection. These pictures were taken these past four months when I walked all over the city with my camera ready to shot. Everywhere I went, doggies were being taken out for walks. Most times I took quick snapshots, but sometimes it was impossible to contain myself because I just wanted to pet them. So I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

"Paper Totem"

The Paper Totem was an experiment of gluing folded chinese paper onto scrap wood. After pilling it up, I started to notice the flow of it as a whole. I really appreciate how the delicate characteristics of the paper contrast with the boldness of the wood. So for all this to be viewed, the piece is intended to hang from the wall. This is a very important part of the concept, just because it is possible for the viewer to see all the different angles and corners the paper makes.

< Random Snapshots > Subtile Beauty

These are snapshots of objects that caught my eye... I love the collection of elements that produce patterns and create images that much more interesting. These boxes were outside a supermarket at the end of the week, so I think the author was very meticulous and in a very artistic manner, managed to create a beautiful work of street art! I love to watch out for these things that are the prefect example of subtile beauty...

< Random Snapshots > Lovely Flower Shop

Last week I had to run an errand to get some art supplies, and on the way I bumped into this lovely flower shop on Lafayette Street & Bleecker. I'm drawn to these colors and wonderful textures. Aren't you?
