< New Work In Progress > Honeycomb Textile

This is my  < new work in progress >. I'm working on this piece for a client and it is intended to go on a niche as wall art. I was drawn to these teal- honeycombed "cogs", the combination of many put together give me the feeling it's fabric, doesn't it? So it looks great  and it's a great way to showcase the company's products in a non-traditional way.

< Inspiration > Petit pumpkins

I didn't have to go to far too find these amazing pumpkin-like fruit, called Pitangas. There's a small tree in my backyard filled with green, orange and red bits. Aren't these wonderful?

< New Work In Progress > Scales of Paint

After many hours of painting class, I always saved my mixing paper with all the leftovers of paint from that day. So I started tearing some of these scales of paint off and I was pleased to see the potential for new artwork!  These look like paintings on their own, just because of all the colors mixing and producing amazing shades/textures over the white background. So soon I will posting the whole project, enjoy :)

"Breaking Color"

This collection is called "Breaking Color" just because of the contrast of all the tones and the relationship between them and the white stripe at the bottom. I've been wanting to do this project for some days now and even tough it looks simple, it took me some time to get here. It is hard to explain, but it is more of just letting the paint mix and blend to produce all these new shades of color. So, what do you feel when you see these?
