< Banas Casting Glass from Czech Republic >

My professor Keiko, brought in here set of Banas Glass Samples from Czech Republic to class and I was drawn "like a moth to a flame" to all these amazing colors. Apparently it's not just the wide variety of color and unique ones, this glass is lead free therefor lighter (when working with large glass castings, this means that there are significant savings overall).
The Bright yellow Billet has Uranium (one of it's kind in the market) which reacts to ultraviolet light!!
I especially love the shadow that is casted with the light and hopefully soon I'll have some samples of my own!

< Official Welcome to Scotland ! >

After a whole month and a half of no posting, i'm eager to start showing what i've encountered in this amazing city!
For those who don't know, I moved to Edinburgh, Scotland and I'm very excited of what this city has to offer.

The very first day we got here, we were lucky enough to arrive on the last day of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe  (which is: "... the largest art festival in the world and takes place every August for three weeks in Scotland's capital city.") The closing event were 45 min of NONstop fireworks displayed against the stunning backdrop of the Edinburgh Castle!! (as seen above...)

I have a good feeling that maybe I chose a great city for my area of studies and soon I'll be posting some more pictures of the city and some of my new work in glass :)
Enjoy !
